The base frame of the Estate Pool Table by Thomas Aaron is constructed of solid kiln dried hardwoods and select laminated wood veneers. The cross bracing is the backbone of the table, and is made from solid timber 1.75" x 4", through bolted at 10 points for unitizing the cabinet for maximum strength and stability. The insides of all our cabinets are stained and sealed to lock out moisture. Both the outside and inside of cabinet have equally applied sealers to keep wood frame stable. We use a multi-layer, hand applied glaze finish with highlighting, only found on the finest furniture. Our finish is hand applied by furniture finishing experts which brings out the natural beauty of the wood grain, unlike the standard dull finish found on most pool tables. Block lamination provides superior stability and guarantees no warping or twisting. The same hardwood is used on entire rail and subrail.
Aprons are permanently bonded for unsurpassed straightness and strength for years of accurate play. Less vibration for more accurate ball rebound - 3/8" diameter bolts are threaded into an Iron Jaw nut plate. This gives the rail-to-table joiners approximately 80% more downward holding strength than standard 5/16" t-nuts. The slots where the nut plates are inserted into the rails are plugged with wood blocks then glued and nailed, to give solid surface backing to rubber cushions. Uniform cushion height for accurate playability: A relief groove is cut in the subrail to provide a place for the installer to staple the cloth. This is critical due to the fact that the rail cloth and staples can bunch up under the rail and cause varying cushion heights. Our cloth stapling relief groove helps keep the cushion height uniform along each rail for accurate playability. Full K-66 profile: BCA specified for the industry and tournaments for almost a century. Made with an exclusive formulation from 100% high quality natural gum rubber with no additional fillers. UV degeneration and oxidation inhibitors are blended into the rubber formulation for years of accurate play.
A canvas is vulcanized to the top surface of the cushion, in order to control accuracy of ball deflection. The canvas is also vulcanized to the back of the cushion to strengthen the bond to the rail. The rail surfaces are highlighted with a unique furniture finishing glaze, then hand rubbed to bring out the luster of the natural wood grain. Rail surfaces are multi-step coated with a highly durable scratch resistant top coat that is applied to give a long lasting finish. Standard sights are genuine mother of pearl with abalone inset diamonds. 1" inch certified professional three piece slate. Diamond honed with an over sized 60" grinding wheel for a truly accurate playing surface. Slate surface is computer controlled with a tolerance to 1/10,000 of an inch. Only the finest saddle grade leather is used on our pockets. Leather Bucket Pockets have extra thick leather around the collar to prevent warping or curling. Bottom of pockets are stitched, rather than stapled, for added strength. The highest quality 75/25 blend of wool and nylon are used for little to no, pilling for a fast and durable playing surface. Bathed in DuPont Teflon for true water and stain resistance. Each bolt of cloth is carefully inspected to be free of knots and loose fibers assuring accurate ball roll and playability.
The Estate Pool Table's woolen pool table cloth is available in your choice of basic green, tournament green, dark green, English green, bottle green, olive, golden, taupe, khaki, brick, Aztec, camel, electric blue, euro blue, navy, red, burgundy, wine, purple, steel gray, charcoal, black, brown or titanium.
The Estate Pool Table comes with the Thomas Aaron Premium Play Package, which includes the following: a set of 16 premium phenolic balls, four premium 57-inch tournament-length cue sticks, a bridge stick with solid brass bridge head, a 12-piece chalk set, two chalk holders, a solid wood 9-ball rack, a solid wood 8-ball rack, a solid wood rail brush, a cue repair kit, a billiard rule/play book, a premium leather tally bottle and tally bottle, and a heavy vinyl pool table cover.
Thomas Aaron warrants its tables will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the table, with the original purchaser (the Owner). Warranties are not transferable and coverage’s only apply for the original purchaser (the “Owner”). Thomas Aaron reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the cost of any and all parts determined by the manufacturer to be defective. Replacement of the entire table is neither required nor implied under this warranty. Excluded are any products used for commercial, institutional or any non-residential use. Felt, cushions, pockets, slate and play kits are not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from an accident, alteration, misuse, fire, flood or any other natural calamity. This warranty covers parts. The Owner will be responsible for any shipping and labor costs. Proper care and maintenance are essential to preserving your rights under the warranty. Manufacturer will not repair or replace any parts if improper maintenance or improper usage causes damage. Warranty does not apply if the product is damaged by the use of harsh cleaning agents, or abrasives. Products are designed for INDOOR USE only. Subjecting products to weathering or damp conditions will void.
